
Diponegoro University Civil Engineering students successfully held a National Seminar which was the culmination of The 11th CEIC event on Saturday, May 6 2023 which took place at the Prof. Soedarto Building in Undip. CEIC (Civil Engineering Innovation Contest) itself is an annual event held by Diponegoro University Civil Engineering students. This year’s National Seminar carries the theme “The Rise of Construction on The Threat of Recession” which aims to broaden students’ insights and be more concerned and able to be critical of national issues that are happening in Indonesia.
The first material session of the National Seminar raised the theme “Development Transformation” which was delivered by four speakers who were experts in their fields, namely the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice President of HAKI Dr. Ir. Nathan Madutujuh, M.Sc., and Chair of the Lean Construction Institute Indonesia Ir. Budi Utomo, IRCA., RLA., CBA., SSBB. and Lean Construction Consultants Blento Kasih S.T., PSMI., LeanPM., CAPM. moderated by Prof. Jati Utomo Dwi Hatmoko, S.T., M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. as Chair of the Department of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Diponegoro University. This material session discussed national development towards a better future supported by lean construction in Indonesia under the pressure of the ongoing recession.
The second material session also raised a theme that is often discussed, namely “Digital Transformation” with three very experienced presenters. The material was presented by IT Vice President Hutama Karya Agung Sulistyo Pramono, S.T., M.B.A., WIKA Building Operations Director Ir. Bagus Tri Setyana, M.T., and Senior Manager of the WIKA QHSE Division Engineering Department Ir. Hadi Triolaksana, S.T., M.T. This second session was delivered by Dr.-Ing. Bobby Rio Indriyantho, S.T., M.T. as a moderator with a discussion on ERP systems in the construction industry and the implementation of BIM technology in Indonesia.
This National Seminar was enlivened by performances from the Diponegoro University PSMT and closed by awarding the winners of The 11th CEIC competition, namely the International BIM Innovation Contest, International Dam Innovation Contest, and International Bridge Design Competition from various universities.
