sipil.ft.undip.ac.id – “Water Curing Controller as an internet of things-based concrete moisture measuring tool” was the title of one of the teams that the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University, was successful in qualifying for the selection of Student Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa – PKM). With the goal of developing technology that will enable automatic concrete curing, the team has begun constructing a prototype and is getting ready to test the apparatus.

PKM Team Leader Sahasika Damaputri stated, “The PKM team designed, assembled, and tested prototypes that are expected to be able to cure automatically.” When the concrete reaches specific temperatures or humidity levels, the prototype that will be built is intended to cure automatically. The PKM team supervisor, Banu Ardi Hidayat, ST, MT, said, “With the aid of this tool, concrete curing activities can be carried out more effectively and efficiently.”

The team uses social media, particularly Instagram content, for promotional efforts in order to expand the reach of information transmission. The student creativity initiative, which focuses on creating, testing, and producing promotional content, will run through October 2023. It is believed that different parts of Indonesia will be able to recognize this prototype’s potential.

In addition to Sahasika, the student creativity program activities included Gilbert Daniel Silitonga, Michael Alfredo Siahaan, Dinda Wijayanti, and Febia Oktavia, with Mr. Banu Ardi Hidayat, S.T., M.T. serving as the supervisor.

“With activities that can apply technology appropriately for its benefits and can provide applied knowledge that can empower society, we encourage students to continue doing real work for society,” he said in closing.
