sipil.ft.undip.ac.id – In the second session on Monday, 14 August 2023 at 13.00 WIB, a guest lecture entitled “On-going Research in The Institute for Structural Analysis, TU Dresden, Germany” was held in room E 301. This guest lecture became a follow-up session from the Guest Lecturer: Study Research in Germany, filled by speakers who are very competent in the field of structure, namely Prof. Dr-Ing. habil. Michael Kaliske and moderated by one of the Undip civil engineering lecturers, Dr-Ing. Bobby Rio Indriyantho, S.T., M.T.. In this guest lecture, Prof. Kaliske discussed an introduction to the renewal of Structural Analysis which already exists at TU Dresden Germany, and maybe it can be applied to learning at the Civil Engineering campus. Prof. Kaliske explained a lot about the pull and pressure from outside or from within a structure that can affect the structure. The explanation continues about how the behavior of linear and non-linear concrete actually has its own challenges and goals.

The guest lecture in the second session was attended by many Civil Engineering students from both the Bachelor’s and Masters’s Study Programs. Apart from students, Civil Engineering lecturers such as Prof. Dr. Ir. Han Ay Lie, M.Eng. and Dr. Ir. Purwanto, M.T., M. Eng. also active in listening to the material presented by Prof. Kaliske, it’s not uncommon for them to be curious about research from TU Dresden regarding the renewal of structural analysis that has been described. Lots of new knowledge that students and lecturers of Civil Engineering at Diponegoro University can absorb. The event ended with a photo session with the participants Prof. Kaliske and the lecturers present at the public lecture.
