sipil.ft.undip.ac.id – The Department of Civil Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) in collaboration with the Surabaya Region IV Construction Services Center conducted a Building Information Modeling (BIM) modeller training activity for students from 3-8 July 2023. This training aims to prepare experts to support the accelerated implementation of BIM in Indonesia, including in support of the new National Capital project, which requires the use of BIM for all of its projects. Acting as an instructor is Ir. Salman from PT. PP Persero.
This BIM training provides significant benefits for students who will get the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the rapidly developing BIM technology. Apart from that, they can also hone digital construction skills which are much needed in modern construction. Through this training, students are expected to be able to develop their digital construction skills properly and have a competitive advantage in the job market.
The training program was opened by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, UNDIP, Prof. Jati Utomo Dwi Hatmoko, ST, MM, MSc, PhD who stated the importance of this training for students and its commitment to producing BIM experts from UNDIP including the provision of needed facilities and infrastructure, as well as developing a curriculum in accordance with developments in the adoption of digital construction in infrastructure development in Indonesia.
